Animal Testing Declaration

Bulldog is a vegan and cruelty free brand, certified by Cruelty Free International and The Vegetarian Society. This means we do not use any animal-derived ingredients and work only with ingredient suppliers that comply with our strict policy on animal testing. Even before the adoption of the animal testing ban by EU Directive 76/768/EEC (now EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009), in March 2013, Bulldog never commissioned, or supported animal testing on ingredients or finished products.

We have never entered, nor will we ever enter, markets where animal testing is required for product sale. Prior to launching into a new market, we review the regulatory requirements to guarantee that animal testing is not required.

Additionally, we will continue to advocate for the use of alternative testing methods and support initiatives that look to make a positive change. For example, Bulldog was one of the first companies to take part in the Leaping Bunny China Pilot Project. This scheme was launched by Cruelty Free International, in cooperation with KnudsenCRC and Oriental Beauty Valley, with the aim of allowing Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free brands to be present in China without the need for animal testing.
